Arkeis (pronounced ark-ICE) is a Pokémon site
that focuses on Pokémon art and the games, as well as the many things
that take place in those games. Check out Pokémon
Factory, where you can find pictures of all your favorite Pokémon
drawn by me. And if you're playing the games and want some helpful tips
on them, head over to the Game Info section. You can also learn
a lot from the Mechanics section, because there are a lot of
hidden numbers in the game that have a big impact on how you play. Finally,
you can learn how to better train your Pokémon and create a better team
by reading the Battle Guides.

I've been so busy with job applications that there hasn't been much time for anything else. I did get an interview, but they didn't hire me, so I have to keep trying.

Oh yeah, have you heard the rumors about the 5th generation? Sounds pretty exciting right? I almost think it's too soon for a new generation, but the Japanese sure do like progress.

Happy New Year!
Wow, it's a new decade already?!? Where did the last ten years go? It seems like only yersterday I was opening the box for my Pokemon Gold and playing it on my Game Boy Color. Now we've gone from 251 to 493 Pokemon! What will the next ten years give us? We can only imagine...
As for resolutions, I vow to get an actual fulltime job this year. Freelancing is okay, but it doesn't even pay enough to buy the groceries. Besides that, maybe I'll even finish the entire Pokemon Factory this year. I have 365 days to do (and redo) a couple hundred more Pokemon. Let's see if I can do it!
So let's start the year off with some Hoenn Pokemon.

Merry Christmas!
I hope you are all enjoying this day and get some nice presents! I didn't actually get anything, but I did get $400 to buy my own presents so it's all good. I haven't been drawing as much as I wanted to this month. On the other hand, I have been getting back into spriting as you can see below.
Anyways, there's only a few more days until the new year! I want to start drawing some new Pokemon soon since I'm getting tired of just revamping old drawings. So I've added a brand new poll where you get to decide which Pokemon I should do first. There are 20 options and the 10 with the most votes will be drawn in exactly one month (January 25th). Happy voting!
Finally, I've added 3 new affiliates on the right. Special shoutout to Eevee's HQ, who is currently making an online Pokemon RPG that I'm involved in!

Contest End and more Art
Oh my God, it's December already?!? We only have a month left until the new year! I wish time didn't pass so fast, but I might as well make the best of it. I've done quite a bit of drawing some RBY Pokemon, which you can see below.
In other news, the results to my first Sprite Contest have finally arrived! You can see who the winners are here. Once I get all the sprites from all the winners, I'll make a little hall of fame section on the Contest Page. Anyways, thanks to everyone who participated in this contest. It was great fun and I'll be sure to have another one next year, so stay tuned!

Guess What?
I'm finally back from China! Sorry for the wait, it turns out I didn't have a chance to update after all. Anyways, the sprite contest has been closed, but I'm allowing all entries that were posted past the due date (Oct. 23rd) since I was still in China and couldn't do anything about it. You see, the Chinese internet blocks certain popular sites like Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter. It really sucks when you want to stay connected to whatever is happening on these sites, but the entire country prevents them from working. But the results to this contest will come in the next week. Thanks to everyone who participated!
Anyways, I'm going to upload some of the drawings I meant to upload last month.
Oh by the way, it's my birthday today! :)

Special Annoucement!
This is going to be the last update I'm making.....before I go to China. Yes, in a few hours I will be on a 14 hour plane ride to Shanghai to visit my relatives. I'll be there for about three weeks...so November 11th is when I'm coming back. I'll still have internet access, but I'm not sure when I'll make my next update. Hopefully soon. But anyways, I'll upload what I have right now before I go.

Back to Kanto
I'm going to revisit the 1st generation Pokemon for the next few weeks, doing revamps and maybe some new stuff. Here's the 1st batch. Oh by the way, I've also done shiny versions of these guys as well. I'll have more done very soon. I've done quite a bit of artwork in September, but let's see if I can do even more for this month.
