Arkeis (pronounced ark-ICE) is a Pokémon site
that focuses on Pokémon art and the games, as well as the many things
that take place in those games. Check out Pokémon
Factory, where you can find pictures of all your favorite Pokémon
drawn by me. And if you're playing the games and want some helpful tips
on them, head over to the Game Info section. You can also learn
a lot from the Mechanics section, because there are a lot of
hidden numbers in the game that have a big impact on how you play. Finally,
you can learn how to better train your Pokémon and create a better team
by reading the Battle Guides.

coming soon... Busy busy busy...even weekends don't do anything for me. I've been thinking about this for a while and I've finally decided. I will do a complete redesign of this site. The truth is, when I first made this site I didn't know much about web design. Now that web design is actually part of my job, I now know how to make code and graphics work together to create a visually interesting internet experience. So if you see some major changes going on, don't be surprised!
As for THIS update, I'll be resuming Pokemon Factory and concentrating on Unova Pokemon for now. First getting through with the starter evolutions, then the three musketeers, then the event legendaries (Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect), then the rest of legends. Also the LONG awaited winners for my last sprite contest have been announced! Sorry, for the wait. You can see them here.
Another one of the things that will be happening that you may not notice is a bunch of touch ups. Here's what I mean:
The Patrat on the left is the old version and the one on the right is the new version. Almost the same, but the one on the right has brighter colors, darker shadows, lighter highlights, and some edits made to the shading. These changes will be applied to all the currently finished images to make them stand out a bit more.
Finally, every Pokemon from now on will also get a shiny form.
Also, my Birthday is coming up on November 15th!

Pure White/Pitch Black Update Hey guys, Version 1.2 of Pokemon Pure White/Pitch Black is now out! Download from the ROM Hacks section.
Changes:
+More story dialog changes, including fixing gender inconsistencies.
+Lotad now found on Route 2
+Kadabra, Boldore, Gurdurr, Graveler, and Machoke now evolve by Level.
+Audinos in certain areas now have higher levels.
+Lenora's Pokemon now have set abilities (before it was random)
+Trainers on Route 3 and Pinwheel Forest have higher levels.
+Fixed Problems with Oddish and the Pikachu and Spearow lines (they had the wrong Pokemon data)
Also, Pokemoninfo.txt and Challenge.txt have been changed. Read them through since they have new information. Please delete the old text documents since they are now outdated.
Don't delete your old ROM! If for some reason, this new update doesn't work, continue playing on your old version. However, it should work if you got the first version to work and did the exact same things.
For those of you who don't know, you can use the same save file you are currently playing on if your save file's name matches the name of the new ROM. So there's no real reason not to update.

I'll get back on track someday So I've been dead for the past few months, or at least it would seem that way. But in reality, I've just been really really busy. I finally found a full-time job which is great. But the bad news is that it takes me an hour to get to work and an hour to go back home. Along with the 8 hours that I actually need to put into work, the 8 hours spent sleeping, and the time needed to get ready for work...I only have 4 or 5 hours of free time each weekday. And there's no such thing as summer break after college, so there's really no long vacation for me until the day I retire in about 40 years.
But enough about that. The reason I'm even bothering to update today is because of
PURE WHITE and PITCH BLACK.
That's right. The newest ROM hacks have been completed and are ready to be played. These two games feature far more changes and far more challenges than my previous Hard Gold hack. Since most of you have summer break, why not try this game out? Head on over to the ROM hacks section and download it now!
Before I go, I'll just announce that Pokemon Factory will resume in about a month. I'll see this project to completion yet!

Oh Wow, an Update! This is the first update for the new year! What took me so long? Well, the short answer is that I got a job that's been keeping me pretty busy. Actually it's not a full-time job and it doesn't pay much, so I still have to spend time looking for another job.
Anyways, the big thing I wanted to announce is that ALL 649 POKEMON ANIMATED SPRITES ARE NOW UPLOADED! Check the Animated Sprites Page to see them all or go to the bottom for the download link. In this pack, you'll be getting the complete National Dex including alternate forms and some (not all) female forms. Unown, Arceus, and Genosect forms will come later along with back sprites and shiny sprites.
Other big news includes the leak of all the 5th gen Pokemon's English names! Some people have doubts the list is real, but this came from the same site that leaked all the 5th gen Pokemon before the game was released in Japan.
Note that Kerudio, Meloetta, and Genosect aren't included.
The third thing I wanted to point out is a new page on the site! I've been doing some Pokemon wallpapers which you can use for yourselves! Check them out below. More to come!
