It's back to the drawing board for me as I roll out a batch of Pokemon for Pokemon Factory, which I haven't updated in a long time. Here we have a bunch of baby Pokemon, all from the 2nd Generation. This is a theme I'll be continuing until Heart Gold/Soul Silver comes out in Japan, so expect more GSC Pokemon in the coming weeks!
Is...is this an actual update? It is! A real update!
So what happened during the past months? Well, a lot of things were keeping me busy and prevented me from updating as much as I wanted.
1. The end of college. That's right, I finished college and graduated in May. But the last few weeks before graduation were the busiest weeks of my life. I had so much work to get done.
2. Job searching. I don't know if any of you reading this know what it's like to search for a job, especially in this crappy economy. But it is pretty much the worst thing in the world. There are so few jobs out there. And the ones I do find often require years of experience, but I am only a college graduate with not much experience.
3. New website! This goes with job searching. I needed a place with my own name where I can display my (non-Pokemon) artwork to the employers so they can hopefully get me a job. So I spent a month or so building a new website from scratch. You can find it here.
4. My entire image folder suddenly disappeared! That's right. All 300+ pictures that I've drawn over the past few years have just vanished without a trace. Not only that, but all the little images for the site like the banners and avatars were gone as well. I don't know where they went. Did they get accidentally deleted when I was transferring files between my two computers? Fortunately, I still had all the copies of the images saved on this site, but having to redownload all of them was a drag.
5. Lost password. Just when I thought I was all ready with this site again, it turns out that I forgot the password to access my website files. And since that password was the same as the one I used on the forums, it meant I couldn't get onto my forum account either. So I had to find a way to get a new password for both accounts, but that problem is at least resolved.
Whew, that was a lot of work. But that's enough of my rambling. You guys want stuff about the site, that's why you came here in the first place. But don't worry, I haven't been neglecting Arkeis like you probably thought I was.
I updated the Legendary Pokemon page with info about all the current Pokemon events that give away legendaries. I also added a brand new section for Heart Gold and Soul Silver, which is coming out in less than a month in Japan. And I'll continue to update other sections of the site which have gone outdated during my absence.
I also added a new poll, so cast your vote now. Oh, and I emptied most of my affiliates list again. The emails I've recieved asking for affiliation got lost in my piles of other email, so if you want to be on the list, please email me again.
But what about art? I bet you've missed that, didn't you? Well, unfornately, the few art and sprites that I've made over the past weeks disappeared just like the other images in my folder. And I never uploaded them to the site either, so they're gone for good. :(
Don't worry, I'll have brand new art up soon. And I'll update more often this month to make up for all the updates I didn't make. I'm not abandoning this site at all!

Sprite Update and other stuff
I'm mostly going to upload some sprites
I've been working on in this update. However, I'm also doing a Platinum
update for my moveset guide because Platinum is coming out soon and many
people are starting to work on their teams for that game. You can expect
an update on that near the beginning of March.
Also, I'm cleaning up my affiliates list on the right side since a lot
of them are dead or have moved. I know I've talked to some of you about
this so if I missed you, then please email me about it.

It's time for another update and there's
quite a bit of stuff to go over. Let's get to the art stuff first.
If you've been paying attention to my Youtube videos, you'll know that
I'm starting a series of Pokemon digital paintings. I'll be featuring
the videos here occasionally. Here's the first one - Charmander!
I'll be doing some more soon. I'll eventually make a whole new section
for these things.
Unfortunately, I haven't really done anything for Pokemon Factory yet
but I'll get on it when I have more time. I'm just concentrating on school
work now. However, I've started a new Poll. The theme for this poll is
Baby Pokemon!
Finally...and this is something I should've done over a year ago...I'm

Happy New Year!
Goodbye 2008. You were a pretty cool
year, so let's hope 2009 also has lots of cool things in store for us. My winter break is almost over, and soon I'll have to go back to
college. Fortunately, during the winter I only have to take one class.
It meets on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means I will have the rest of
the week off, so I shouldn't be overloaded with work.

The Twelve Days of Christmas!
I am so happy! All my finals are done,
the semester is over, and I'm on winter break for the next three weeks!
It's such a great feeling. But it's kind of sad too, knowing that this
will be my last winter break EVER. Once you graduate from college, you
can't take two to three weeks off for the holidays ever again.
So let's make the best of it! If it's the 13th,
that means there's only 12 more days until Christmas. And for the next
12 days, I'll be giving you one new gift every day!
Today's gift features the largest sprite I've ever made - the mighty
TriDragon!
The challenge was to use at least 20 Pokemon to make a fusion. Well, if

Oh God WTF?
I missed the entire month of October
and now it's almost half past November! You'd think I was in a coma
for the past 6 weeks, but I was just really busy. Still, that's no excuse
for not updating this site. Okay, so what have we got here.
I've been working on a ton of sprites lately and there are more to come:
And remember that poll from a while ago? Well, I've finally finished all
of the winners! And now I've updated with a new poll. This poll features
final stage Pokemon that I still haven't drawn yet. Please take the time
to pick who you want to see most. I'll try to get at least 3 done by Sunday
of Thanksgiving break, maybe even 4 but don't count on that.
I must tell you that finals week is almost here and I'm going to be super
busy until Thanksgiving week and then even busier for a week after that.
Finally, did I mention that TOMORROW (THE
15TH) IS MY BIRTHDAY?
Not a real update, just wanted to post
the rest of the Rotom Forms. The real update will take place
sometime next week.
Also, don't view this site in Internet Explorer. There have been problems
where the layout appeared too narrow, even though it looks fine in every
other browser. So use Firefox, Opera, Safari etc. They're much better
than IE anyways. I added a blue line at the top to stretch out the page
in IE. It created an annoying horizontal scroll bar at the bottom, but
you could easily ignore that anyways.

Platinum has just been released in Japan
and it's basically information overload as people are still trying to
absorb all the new changes and additions, as well as continuing to discover
new things about the game. I've done some major updates in the Platinum page, including a list of all the move tutors and what moves they teach.
And as a treat, I've added a couple of the new Rotom forms, with the other
three soon to follow.
Anyways, some new sprites.
Oh by the way, have you checked out my Youtube page recently? It's got a couple of new battles, and I'll be adding more

What's this? I'm counting down the
days until I go back to college, which will happen next Monday. Over
the course of this week, I'll be adding one new drawing each day. This
is the only time I'm taking requests, so if you've got a Pokemon you
want to see, post in the shoutbox.

Yes, it's a poll! At the end of this week, I'll be adding three new
Shiny Pokemon. But what will they be? That's for you to decide using

Sorry for the delay, but I've moved to my dorm and spent the past two
days setting up. Anyways, in the poll, Rayquaza won by a landslide.
Glaceon came in second, and the surprise third place came from Luxray,
who edged out Salamence by only one vote. Now we have a new poll - who
will get revamped? Keep in mind I'll be revamping ALL of the Pokemon
on the list, but the 4 with the most votes get revamped
first. As an added bonus, the 2 with the most votes
also get a shiny version!
So vote for your favorite and invite your friends to do the same! I'll

End of the Summer Update Oh man, August is over already?
Summer just blazed by. Of course, every summer seems to go by fast.
I'm dedicating this post to my own summer break, because it will be
the LAST summer break I'll ever have. There's no more
summer breaks after you graduate from college. Unless you go to graduate
school or something.

Summer and Platinum
Hey everyone, this is the first update I'm writing since I've been on
summer break. I'm sure most of you are also on summer break too. Well,
I have a lot of things planned for the summer, so I hope you keep checking
back because I'll be updating a lot more than usual. I do have a summer
job coming up that will take up a lot of my time, but at least I don't
have tons of work and projects.
First, a couple new sprites have been added to the Sprite gallery:
Also, I'll be putting up a section for the upcoming Platinum game during
the next week. But first, I've drawn the alternate forms for both Giratina
and Shaymin! The Giratina one is pretty big. It's the largest image
in Pokemon Factory right now.
Finally, I'll be working on the forums which I've unfortunately neglected
for the past year or so. Don't worry, I'll bring them up to shape.

Back to Spriting
Oh God, finals week is almost over! Only 5 more days to go until the
semester is done and over with. I have a lot planned for Arkeis this
summer, things that I would have done earlier but had no real time due
to work and classes.
Anyways, I'm finally getting back into spriting so I have a few brand
new sprites to show you:
All can be found in the main sprite page. Expect some more soon! And
as usual, I've done a couple more revamps of past drawings. Gyarados
and Milotic also got their shiny forms updated, so check those out in
the Shiny Pokemon Art page.
Also, Clefable and Abomasnow have been added into the Pokemon Factory
list. I forgot to put them in there even though I've put up their artwork
months ago. Sorry about that!

A sandstorm is raging
Sand resistant Pokemon rule this update
so I bring you 3 completely NEW drawings as well as a
Tyranitar, who has been revamped (this is actually Tyranitar's second
revamp. I sure am picky!). Also, I made the images clickable, so you can
access it right from the front page and don't have to go all the way to
Pokemon Factory just to see them.
I only have a month left of classes and that means I'm going to get a
ton of final projects. I don't know how busy I'll be, but it's likely
that I can only work on drawings on the weekends from now until mid-May.
Still, you guys have been very patient so be sure to stick around because
you'll never know when I'll be in the mood for another batch of new (or
renewed) artwork. ;)

I'm Back!
So where was I for the past month? Oh
that's right, I was busy for the first three weeks and it basically took
me 3 days to draw (or redraw) one Pokemon because I had like no time.
And just last week I had my spring break. You would think that because
I was on break I'd have plenty of time to draw and make an update. But
no, I forgot to bring my files home with me so I had nothing to update
with. Sometimes it's hard having to use two different computers.
So I just spent the week playing Brawl instead. :)
But now I'm back from break and I really don't have much homework, so
hopefully I'll get more done this week. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting
yet again.
So I'm redoing a bunch of my old Pokemon
drawings. I'm still going to finish off the D/P Pokemon, but I need to
redraw my old pics so that they match the quality of my current work.

Wow, where did January go? I totally
don't have any excuse for why I didn't make another update. Anyways,
I haven't been in the Pokemon mood lately as I was preoccupied with
other games. That made me feel pretty guilty about neglecting this site
though, so I'm continuing some more drawings. I think I should update
every time I finish a drawing or two instead of trying to do a bunch
of things for one update. That means more updates, but less content
per update. It's a fair trade-off I guess. Besides you're mostly here
for the pictures and those I can crank out pretty quickly.
Anyways, I have TWO Creature Features instead of one this time. The
first one is Umbreon, a brand new feature while the other is Vaporeon,
another Eeveelution which I did before but have updated it with new
info.
Well, I'm glad it's a new month and a new year. December has been a bust
in terms of updates. And while I'm still going to be busy now that I'm
back in school, I actually have a working computer at least.
So the main thing I want to announce for this update is the return of
Youtube Battle
videos! I got my hands on a video recorder and now I can finally record
and upload battles from Diamond/Pearl Wi-Fi. I've uploaded two so far
and you can expect some more soon after I return home for Spring Break.

Besides that, I've gotten back into Pokemon drawing after not having done
any for almost a month. I would really like to finish Pokemon Factory
this year. When it gets close to the end, I'll show you some other art
projects I've been working on.

has been up there forever. But that's about to change. Who will this new
Pokemon be? Stay tuned to find out!

I'm so Sorry!
The reason I was absent for the past three weeks was that my computer
got screwed up due to a virus. So I basically lost everything and couldn't
use it. Fortunately I still have the website and all the files saved
on my computer at home, but I couldn't go there until Winter Break,
which started Friday. Now I'm able to update the website again.
Because I couldn't use my computer, I couldn't do any new drawings.
Sorry about that. I know you've all been waiting patiently. I'll make
an update soon with brand new Pokemon art and brand new shinies.

It's November 15th!
Today is a very special day for me. Why? Well, it's my birthday!
My 21st birthday in fact. So I thought today would be an appropriate
time for an update, even though I haven't done much since I've been
pretty busy for the past weeks.
Still, I have a brand new page on this site - the Rare Pokemon guide.
This page will tell you all about how to catch the hard-to-find Pokemon
in the game. It only has three Pokemon in it so far, but it will eventually
be updated with all rare Pokemon, not only in D/P, but in the Advance
games as well.

Yep, like I said, I have something special for you all today...in fact,
it's a very special drawing. Since today is Halloween, I figured a couple
of Ghost Pokemon would be perfect for this occasion. So click on the

Legends and Affiliates
I've cleaned up the affiliates section on the left a bit, removing any
dead sites. Also there are two NEW affiliates, so give a warm welcome
to Piplup Princess and Pokemon Journey!
Also, I've reduced the affiliation hit requirement from 300 to 100. You
still need a nice chunk of daily hits, but not as much anymore.
However, I've also decided on something new. For those sites that
are too small to meet the requirements, I will feature your site in one
of my updates. Since I only update every 10-20 days, your site will be
on the top of this page for at least that long.
So if you want to be a part of this, email me with something like "site
feature" in the title and write in your own words why you think your
site is good (no more than 3 sentences please).
Also, the Legendary Pokemon guide has been
updated with info on how to get all the D/P legends.
Halloween is coming up, so check back here on that day because I'll have
something special for you all!
One thing I forgot to mention in my last update was that Arkeis has
now officially been around for one whole year. Whoohoo! Thanks
for your support, guys!
Anyways, the EVs and IVs pages are now updated with D/P information.
The EV section may be especially helpful since I've added some D/P EV
training hotspots.
I've also added some new shiny Pokemon
pictures: Dialga, Palkia, Lucario, Umbreon, and Electivire.
You'll also notice a new Creature Feature to your right. Well, not exactly
new since Typhlosion has been featured before, but this is a much updated
version. I'm going back to only one feature at a time since I'm too
busy to do two.
Also a couple new sprites on the Sprites
Page. A couple of fun new videos on the Battle Videos Youtube section
showing an example of how to beat the Elite 4 with only unevolved Pokemon
(more will come later in the week).
I've added an extra note about affiliates. I have more than I really need
now, so I'm going to be more selective. If you want to affiliate with
me, make sure your site gets at least 300 unique hits per day.
And of course, new Minidex entries and Pokemon Factory drawings like always.
*UPDATE!* Yes, all of the English
names have been revealed on Serebii.
I've been just so busy over the past week with a whole lot of work.
So I haven't done much to the site besides a few drawings and a couple
of Minidex entries.
What I have done is affiliated with two new sites - PokeJungle and Pichu's
World! Both are already pretty large sites so go check them out (well,
PokeJungle is currently down for a server move but will be up shortly).
Sorry for the uneventful update, but I will have more stuff next week!
First off, a couple new pages have been added to the site. One of them
is the new battle guide I've been working on - Move
Combos - which tells you about some basic combos you can use when
planning out your battle strategies. Speaking of strategies, that's what
you'll find in Battle
Videos. It actually links to my new Youtube account, where I'll be
uploading videos of Pokemon battles every now and then.
It looks like we have confirmation on a bunch of new D/P Pokemon names,
so that has been updated on the D/P Pokemon list.
New Forums! Yes, Arkeis finally has
an actual Pokemon-related forum you can now visit. The last one was just
a bunch of randomness that wasn't working out too well. These forums will
be better organized and taken care of. So go join today! Click

And finally, another bunch of entries for the Mini-Dex, including all
the Eeveelutions as well as a some Ghosts.
Sorry for not updating this weekend. I really had to finish a project
and study for a final exam. That meant no new guide either. But now that's
over with.
Anyways, I updated the DP Pokemon list with
the new English names for a bunch of D/P Pokemon:
There is still debate to over what Pochama's English name is, as well
as Fuwaraido's, Skorpi's, and Subomi's. For reference, look to this pic.

Also, I'm gonna try to revamp the forums because I've been nreglecting
them so far. I just don't like the direction they're going so far so expect
a major overhaul sometime by next week.
Finally, as a little bonus, I've added three of my teams from each of
the generations in the About page.
Yes, all the legendary Pokemon have been
added to the guide (except for the Diamond/Pearl legends, who will come
once the game is released in the US). And the Hoenn
part of the Minidex is finally up as well. Now I'll begin working on
another guide, though I don't know which it will be yet since I have
several in mind. Maybe it will be a giant Move list or an Evolution
guide or something...you'll see next week.
Anyways, a shiny Kingdra has been added to the Shinies page and a couple
of new sprites have appeared on the Sprites page.
4 new Affiliates...wow! There's Dark Eon Hideout, PokeCountry, PokeCU,
and AshKetchu.nl.
Expect a new Creature Feature next week as well as a bunch of new Pokemon
entries in the Minidex.
Yes, the Johto Minidex section is up with
entries for the Johto starters. Also, I added a bunch of entries to the
Sinnoh Minidex including Palkia, Dialga,
Giradina and the Legendary Psychic trio. Also, thanks to Silverwing for
contributing the entry to the Mukubird line!
And it appears the Minidex link on the left column hasn't been working
all week, but I fixed that now.
Other than that, I've added two more Pokemon to the Legendary
guide: Deoxys and Manaphy, whose code in Pokemon Ranger has been revealed
a couple of days ago.
A new affiliate: PokeLives!
I decided to remove the comment system since you guys are all using the
Shoutbox anyways, which is fine.

sprites from me pretty soon.
Two new affiliates to the right. PokeGamer, a relatively new site, and
PCA, a fast growing RPG. I also did the mouse-over format so that it's
more organized.
I'll be putting up the Johto Minidex next
week. You can help out with any Pokemon entry in the Dex if you want.
But be sure you can actually do it. I don't want people who say they
want to help and then not do anything. Just send me an email if you
want to contribute.

scale.
This update came later than I intended, but better late then never,
eh? Anyways, it's 2007 at last and it looks to be a great year for Pokemon,
with Diamond/Pearl coming out in a few months.

So you probably heard about Diamond/Pearl's US release date by now.
April 22nd, 2007. Dang, that's later than expected. But at least it
gives us plenty of time to train some Pokemon for transfer.

After much ancipation, I'm finally revealing a little something I've
been working on - a Mini-Dex!
It's like a Pokedex, except smaller. And being smaller, you can get
information faster and easier than a normal Pokedex. Only the first
three Sinnoh starters are done, but I'll be working on a lot more and
like I said, you're free to help. In fact, if you help out, I'll put
your name on a special credit page I'm making. Just post on the Shoutbox
or email me at aragornbird@yahoo.com.
In other knews, I have a new Creature Feature up featuring Typhlosion!
This is the first CF that will have both Advance and D/P movesets.
I also updated the Shiny
Pokemon Art page with a bunch of new shinies I did.

Sorry for not updating in a while. Last week I was home for Thanksgiving
break and couldn't really update. Anyways, several new things (besides
art). First, another affiliate! It's Pokestory, a cute site of mostly
fanfiction written by Bruno and Oliver (they even used some of my art
for their splash page).
Oh, and I added a completely new section to the left side. It's called
Guides and Lists and will basically feature any game guides/lists that
I'm bored enough to make. Right now it's just a Legendary Pokemon guide.
It's not done yet. I only have the Hoenn Pokemon written up. I'll eventually
do the FR/LG Pokemon as well as the Diamond/Pearl legendaries.
Also stay tuned for an Evolution guide and a super long list of every
single Pokemon Attack! And another Creature Feature of a very popular
Pokemon. And maybe next time (like this weekend), I'll finally unveil
another site project that you can all participate in. =)
Considering how many hits I get for "Shiny Pokémon", I added a new page
under the mechanics section for Shinies and some tips on how to catch
some. This is different from my Shiny Pokémon Art, which simply has
drawings of shiny versions of Pokémon I did.
I meant to update yesterday. I don't know what happened
exactly. But anyways, several sites out there now have possession of
ALL the clean sprites from Diamond/Pearl. This includes Shiny Pokémon.
So I made a little sprite combining two cute D/P birds, Pochama and
Mukkuru:

Anyways, I finally opened up the Avatars page of the Art
section. There, you can use any of the avatars I made. Just give credit,

Finally, D/P Sprites revealed!
Pokémon Safari has a collection of ALL the Pokémon sprites
for Diamond/Pearl. These sprites are clean rips from the game, not the
blurry screenshots. This includes frontal sprites, back sprites, male
sprites and female sprites.
Not all Pokémon have both male and female sprites, but some of
them do, especially the hilarious Wobbuffet:

Another Surge of Pokémon
This is it. With Diamond/Pearl's release only one day away, all the
new Pokémon have finally been revealed. If you're up to date
with your Pokémon news, you would have seen them by now. But
for your reference, here are some links to the new Pokémon and
the info surrounding them:
Serebii.net has a
bunch of info and screenshots concerning the new Pokémon, new
Gym Leaders, and many other tidbits.
filb.de
has a collection of mini-sprites for the new Pokémon so you can
get an idea of what these creatures look like.
Bulbagarden
has a long list of the base stats, traits, egg groups, and other
Pokédex info for both old and new Pokémon in D/P. Some
info may be incorrect, but it's safe to say most of it is accurate.
Finally, two lists of moves. The first one is here
and shows every move in D/P (all the unknown moves are substituted with
numbers). The second one is here
and shows all of the level-up and egg moves for the new Pokémon.

Hooray, I've got my first two affiliates for Arkeis! The first one is

information on the attacks learned by the first new Diamond/Pearl Pokémon
you encounter.
Brave Bird

#013 Bippa
Attacks: Tackle, Growl, Defense Curl, Rollout, Headbutt, Hyper Fang,
Yawn, Amnesia, Take Down, Super Fang and Superpower
#015 Korobooshi
Attacks: Growl, Bind, that's all that has been revealed
#017 Korinku
Attacks: Tackle, Leer, Charge, Bite, Spark, Roar, Swagger, Crunch, Thunder
Fang, Scary Face and Discharge
Discharge Type: Electric | Power: 80 | 1/3 chance
of Paralysis, hits everyone on the field
Munchlax knows Reminiscent Headbutt. Mime Jr. knows
Wake Up Slap. Weavile knows Dark Wave. No other
info is known about these three attacks.

Pokémon Factory updated!
College has been keeping me busy, but I still get things done around this
site. For one thing, the Pokémon Factory has been updated with
all of the Pokémon I have drawn so far. Say hello to the two newest
drawings, Relicanth and Golem!
Also I have added a list of TM/HM Locations to
the Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald pages. Pretty basic stuff, but it helps
beef up the content of the game section.
I have plenty of more content and ideas lined up, I just need to find
the time to work on them. So stay tuned!

New Coro Coro scans!
Pokebeach.com was the first to
show and translate these new scans from September's Coro Coro magazine.
7 new Pokémon have been revealed, as well as new info about previously
released Pokémon.
It seems that Subomi and previously seen Pinpuku will be
the pre-evolutions of Roselia and Chansey respectively. Minomucchi,
a Bagworm Pokémon, is suspected to be Pineco's pre-evolution although
it may be a completely separate species.
Zugaidos and Tatetops are two Rock-type dinosaurs. These
two will be the Pokémon that you revive from fossils.
Beappa is a Normal-type Beaver Pokémon.
Masukippa is a Grass-type Flytrap Pokémon with the Levitate
ability.
And finally, is Korinku an Electric-type with either Intimidate
or new Belligerence ability.
Another much-anticipated revelation is the official types of Parukia and
Diaruga. Parukia will be Dragon/Steel and Diaruga will be Dragon/Water.
Pictures of two new characters have also been revealed. The first Gym
Leader, Kyouta, is a miner-type person who gives you the Coal Badge.
And Mars, is a female leader of Team Galaxy.
And two new Balls have been revealed. The Heal Ball heals your
Pokémon when you catch it and the Dark Ball makes Pokémon
in dark areas easier to catch.
Anyways, the Diamond/Pearl page has been
updated with these new Pokémon.

A Brief Absence
I've finally moved into my new dorm at college this afternoon. That would
explain the complete lack of updates for yesterday and most of today.
But still, I'm looking for affiliates to get more hits, so if you want
to affiliate with me, then you're free to do so (as long as you read the
Affiliate page first!).
Also, the forums
are up! They aren't really Pokemon-related, but they sure will be fun-filled
as long as people register and post!

Testing, Testing...
Hooray, the site is finally up! Of course, it'll take a while before people
actually visit, but that's okay. The site still needs some finishing up
to do. All the links on the left that are unclickable mean unfinished
pages, or pages that haven't even been created. Don't worry, they will
be done soon. And a lot of the Pokémon pictures in Pokémon
Factory still need to be uploaded.
